I-MAG Video brings Winter Olympics Spectators Closer to the Action
I-MAG Video, a worldwide industry leader in live video production and equipment rental to the music industry, Oscars and others, as well as trade shows and corporate functions, provided a multitude of large-format LED screens to the 2010 Winter Olympic Games just concluded in Vancouver.
In all, I-MAG outfitted the Games with seven screens – ranging in sizes from 28 feet by 18 feet, to 16 feet by 11 feet – at various venues for better viewing of the action by spectators.
The combination of Panasonic 22V and 12F units included:
• 46.7m2 22V (28' x 18') at Biathlon (Whistler Olympic Park)
• 46.7m2 12F (28’ x 18') at Jumping (Whistler Olympic Park)
• 46.7m2 22V (28' x 18') at Freestyle Skiing (Cypress Mountain)
• 46.7m2 22V (28' x 18') at Snowboard (Cypress Mountain)
• 16.8m2 12F (18' x 11') at Speed Skating (Richmond Olympic Oval)
• 2 11.5m2 12F (16' x 11') at Curling (Vancouver Olympic Center)
In addition, I-MAG is also providing two 11.5m2 12F (16' x 11') units to the Curling venue at the 2010 Winter Para-Olympics, which begins in Vancouver March 12. “We work with some of the biggest events in the world, but we couldn’t be more proud of our continued involvement with the Olympic Games,” said I-MAG President Steve Daniels. “To see the look on the face of spectators as our equipment enhances their Olympic experience is priceless.”

This Sunday, March 7, I-MAG Video will also be outfitting the stage of the 82nd Annual Academy Awards in Hollywood with a mass backdrop of 412 LED Displays.
