I-MAG Video to provide LED displays for 2010 Academy Awards

I-MAG Video supplies the 82nd Academy Awards

I-MAG Video, a worldwide industry leader in live video production and equipment rental to the music industry, Olympics and others, as well as trade shows and corporate functions, is now adding the Oscars to its impressive client roster.

I-MAG will be providing the 82nd Annual Academy Awards this March 7 with 412 tiles of Barco ILite 6 BK LED Displays.

The screens will be deployed in a custom curved, rotating stage backdrop with 96 tiles both stage right and stage left, and a center wall of 220 units.  Each display measures 17.6 inches by 17.6 inches.

“We’ve provided equipment in the past for television events on MTV, CMT and AMC, and are very proud to now be part of such a prestigious event as the Oscars,” said I-MAG Owner Steve Daniels.

The 2010 Academy Awards, broadcast live by ABC from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, CA, are expected to be watched by a close to one billion people worldwide.

I-MAG is coming off heavy involvement at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, where it provided the large-format LED displays at several venues, including Skiing, Snowboarding and Speed Skating.
